Nature Crafts
We create art from leaves, pinecones, and other treasures found in the woods. Our imaginations lead the way!
Science Fun
Simple experiments that reveal the wonders of God’s natural world. Each day will have an activity related back to biology, chemistry or environmental science.
Stories
Each day we will gather at the story circle and discover a new book with engaging pictures and storyline that relates back to our theme. A booklist for each camp week will be available at drop-off to continue the adventure at home.
Nature Trails and Games
We stay active everyday at camp by walking our trails, visiting the animals, and playing games!
Snack and Lunch
We eat snack and lunch together at Picnic Point. Camp Thimbleberry provides a healthy snack and lunches are brought from home. Please bring a filled water bottle!
Biblical Teaching
Each week we emphasize a new Bible verse to guide us in our activities and play. We pray these verses stay with our campers long after the end of camp!
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
A Day At Camp...
Every week and every day at Camp Thimbleberry will be a new and unique experience, but we do follow a routine that the campers can rely on.
9:00 to 9:15: Arrival time. Then we start the day with singing and icebreakers.
9:30: we start our nature or science lesson and activity.
10:30: restroom and snack break
10:50: project time. Making, experimenting and creating!
12:15: Lunch time!
1:00: we say good-bye to our half day friends. Full day friends have free play until pick up is done.
1:15: Walk to the Story Ring for story time
2:00: Games! During water week, we start free water play at this time.
3:00: Free play
3:30: afternoon snack
4:00 to 4:15: pick up. Till we meet again!
4:15-to 6: extended care
